About Us

We’re a family of three, all obsessed with art, travel, learning, and food. Our time together over the course of more than two decades has shown us the power of creation and art. It's what has kept us going over every bump in the road. Well, those things and a nicely stocked cheese drawer.

Jean-Jacques is a French and Science teacher, a job that provides him with plenty of enticing fodder for his writing and music. He spends his time outside of school playing music, cooking, and writing.

Katie is a Social Studies and English teacher who loves inspiring and enriching her students, as well as badgering them to read more, because what could be more important? Outside of school she spends her time making elaborate fiber arts projects with her collection of looms, spinning wheels, and fiber.

Evie is our elementary-school-age child, and she loves everything art-related. Outside of school, she loves reading, drawing, crocheting, and being ebullient. You won't see pictures of her on this website because we're pretty sure that's creepy.
